In the 1970s, power press manufacturing was largely associated with countries like England and Germany, unknown to many in India. Determined to change that, entrepreneurs Shree Devrajbhai Kawa and Shree Govindbhai Kawa envisioned putting India on the map for power press. In 1970, they established Shailesh Group of Companies in Rajkot.
Through hard work, mechanical skills, and common sense, they developed the group’s infrastructure. Today, the group includes Shailesh Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd, Vijay Machine Tools, Kawa Press System Pvt. Ltd at Veraval (Shapar) Industrial Zone, and Kawa Machine Tools at Metoda.
